Meet Dr. Kwak
Dr. Karen Kwak graduated magna cum laude from Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. She received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and then furthered her clinical practice by completing a General Practice Residency at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. She enjoyed working with children so much that she then pursued a residency program in Pediatric Dentistry at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Her extensive specialty training included treating patients with special needs, and also providing treatment with nitrous oxide, oral sedation, IV sedation, and in the operating room.
Dr. Karen is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, New Jersey Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, and New Jersey Dental Association. She is board-eligible in the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She has a strong passion for community outreach and has volunteered abroad in Guatemala. She understands that children have their own unique needs and personalities. Her goal and joy is to help every child find a special way to keep their smiles healthy while having fun!
